Hello all, like we have said in the previous post today we are posting about SG WALKER'S SWOT ANALYSIS.
So what is SWOT analysis?

W: Weakness
O: Opportunity
T: Threats

Strength
SG
Walker
- Uses GPS to locate user on the map. This allows them to see where they are on the map and they will immediately know it if they are on track or out of the way.
- Is user friendly
- Allows users to customize their own routes to their personal preference as they are able to see the different tourist attractions in the nearest 1km away from them. Hence they are able to pick where they want to visit and SG Walker will then plan the shortest routes so as to avoid detours.
- Has a tab that is known as augmented reality (AR) Browser. This technology enables the enhancement of real world objects with digital information. It allows user to view digital information into reality with the aid of camera, GPS, compasses and accelerometers.
- Do not require Internet Connection to function however if users wants to use our additional function such as AR Browser and weather, it is advisable for user to have internet connection.
- Provides the latest upcoming events that are happening in Singapore.
- Gives food recommendations in the areas around them within the next 1km.
SG
Walker
- Is new in the market and it is not recognized. Hence this may affect us in terms of income as no one will advertise with us.
- Have limited budget to advertise our application.
- Currently only targets tourist of Singapore, this will makes the demand very small.
SG
Walker will first start locally which is in Singapore. We will then slowly increase
the clients’ base and expand into Southeast Asia and hopefully other parts of
the world. For example: HK Walker for Hong Kong and etc.
SG
Walker is currently facing a few competitors and they are namely;
- City walk
- Walk Singapore
- Your Singapore Guide
