Competitor Analysis

 1) City Walk

This guide includes a detailed fully functional offline city map and several self-guided walking tours for Singapore. This guide works offline; hence Internet Connection is not necessary.

The cost of this application is free for the lite version and US $4.99 for the full version

For the lite version, City Walk provides 10 standard walking tours such as City Orientation Tour, Singapore Landmarks, Singapore Museums, Chinatown Walking Tours, Art Galleries of Singapore, Shopping Areas, Nightlife in SIngapore, Colonial District, National Monuments and Romantic Singapore however it does not guides you on the map on how to go. It also does not allow users to customize their own tours under the lite version. User will have to pay US $4.99 in order to be able to use thee additional services.

As you can see from the below screenshot, City Walk does not provide the shortest route for uses to get around. It does not give the users the most direct routes so as to avoid detours, it only shows on the map where the locations are and does not guide the users.

2) Walk Singapore: Bras Basah/Bugis

Walk Singapore: Bras Basah/ Bugis is a walking guide to Singapore's art and cultural precinct of Bras Basah and Bugis. This application will let you find out more about the history and significance of Singapore's national monuments, museums as well as interesting landmarks within the precincts.

Walk Singapore only provides 5 standard walking trails such as Bras Basah/Bugis Precinct Trails, Museums Trail, National Monuments Trails l, National Mobument Trails ll and Waterloo & Queen Street Trail. The standard routes are quite limited and Walk Singapore also does not allow users to customise their own routes based on their interest.

Additionally, Walk Singapore does not guide users how to get to their respective destination, it only shows on the map where the locations are just like City Walk and it can be quite confusing.

The cost of this application is free but however it only covers the area around Bras Basah and Bugis.

3) Your Singapore Guide.

YourSingapore, takes over from where "Uniquely Singapore" has left off. they focus on visitor-centricity, meaning the experiences are made wholesome and personal, drawing their allure from the breath and richness of attraction many have grown to love Singapore.

YourSingapore allows users to design their own journeys; one they can call their own. But this action is not allowed in the smart phone application. It is only applicable if you log on to http://www.yoursingapore.com.

YourSingapore also does not guide the users using GPS on the map on how to get to their resoective destination just like the other two competitors mention above. Thus the YourSingapore Guides application only list down the Singapore attractions in different categories and have a brief explanation on the selected interest/destination.

The cost of this application is free.

That all we have for you today. Till our next post. (:

Love,
BizEngineers
